The official “I <3 Thrifting Day” is nearly upon us (Saturday, July 7 to be exact) and I am so excited to post the schedule for my Raleigh – Durham area thrifters!
So what is I <3 Thrifting Day? I <3 Thrifting Day was started last year by Mr. Goodwill Hunting. If you haven’t heard of him yet, be sure and check our his awesome blog! His idea was for everyone across the country to unite over thrifting and take one day out of the year to go green, head out to the thrift shop and thrift shop like there was no tomorrow. Last year we all had a ton of fun for the inaugural I <3 Thrifting day and I’m sure this years event will be just as fun.

My good friend Brittany AKA Pretty Handy Girl (who I only first met at I <3 Thrifting day) helped me figure out some cool places to go this year. While times are sort of subject to change depending on the pace of the day, this is essentially the outline for where we will be and when. If you want to tag along — and I hope you will — just meet up at the first location and we can caravan from there!
10 AM – Resale Boutique
11 AM – Goodwill on Grove Barton Rd
Noon – Aladdin’s Eatery (lunch time!)
1 PM – Goodwill in Brier Creek
1:30 PM – The Durham Rescue Mission’s Bargain Center
Of course if we get a wild hair and decide to go somewhere else, or maybe see a yard sale on the way, we can always stop and check it out. If you’re ready to do some serious thrifting and meet some fun new people, join me for I <3 Thrifting day on July 7. Also, don’t forget to meet up early – the first FIVE people to join the group will be getting a special goodie bag!

I officially have to be a “maybe”– there’s a possibility that my hubs is leaving that Sunday for a month, and because he’s had some knee problems, he might postpone for a few more weeks. You know I’ll be there if I can! I’ll let you know closer to the time if I’m a for sure! Def had a great time last year!!

Aww, well I’m sure I’ll be doing it next year too, if not sooner. I have toyed with the idea of doing my own little thrifting party in the fall, so follow the blog and I’ll keep you posted!
