I hate to say it, but I think I am becoming the queen of unfinished projects.
It’s not my fault! I start something and then I have to go to work, or go to bed, or do something and then it takes me forever to get back and finish what I started.
My real downfall is that after I put a project on hold (I never quit a project) I will somehow find the time to go to the thrift store or the craft shop and start ANOTHER project. I feel like I am starting an endless cycle and it needs to stop.
See that frame. I picked it up at an interior designer attic sale and painted it but that’s as far as I’ve gotten. I was thinking either putting a mirror inside it, getting more open frames and just having a collection of them or framing out a cardboard/plastic trophy animal head.
Here’s another project I just need to finally finish. All I need to do is thread string or twine through the keys and hang them in the frames. I was also thinking I might paint the keys, or the frames or both — maybe this is why I can’t finish anything…
This is one of those projects from craft club. I ran out of those brads I was hot gluing onto the burlap wrapped canvas before I finished. So close!!
The point of this was not to show you all my sad projects (well it kind of was) but it was to hopefully kick my butt into high gear and finally finish what I’ve started. I only have a little way to go and maybe this post will be my push.
So what about you? Do you have unfinished projects or is it just me? Feel free to commiserate with me or encourage me to get it done! Have a unfinished project you want to talk about? Post it on my facebook page or send me a tweet about it! I love hearing what everyone else is up to!
