The Joy of Resolutions

So we are almost a week in to the new year and so far I have kept up with MOST of my new years resolutions. I typically don’t make any New Year’s resolutions, but I figured I might as well give it a shot and see if I can’t better myself. So here are my resolutions and maybe writing them down will help YOU keep ME accountable :)

1. Do my hair EVERYDAY

I know this sounds weird but I am the worst for just drying my hair and leaving the house and I hate it. Whenever I look at my hair in the mirror I just want to shave my head. I have decided to make a change and really make an effort to do something to my hair, everyday, not just on lazy weekends. So far it’s gone really well and if any of you want some great hairstyle tips check out The Small Things Blog. My friend and I have started calling her the hair messiah. Changed my life, for realz.

2. Finish what I have started

Another thing I’m really bad at is not finishing projects. I find excuses to move on to DIY projects in other rooms before finishing ones I have just started. My biggest fear is that I will move out of this apartment with a bunch of half painted (or stenciled) walls and feel like I just wasted my time.

3. Post more often

I have been really lax about posting lately. I feel like sometimes I don’t have much to say or I don’t have a new project to show you so I put off posting but that’s no excuse. I am always learning new things about design or going to cool places and I just need to share it. I promise that even if they aren’t long posts, I will have something new on my blog at LEAST once a week.

I am beyond ready to see what 2012 has in store for me and TJOD. Happy New Year and good luck with your resolutions!

I did and I found out what salon she worked at but sadly isn’t taking on any new clients :( Her tutorials are seriously the best though. I did one of her styles for NYE and it looked awesome.

Got something to say? Go for it!
