The joy of to-do lists

Lately I swear the days are getting shorter, I’m getting busier and my to-do list is getting longer.

Since I can’t seem to find the time to get my projects totally completed I figured I could at least share what I’m working on.

Crafty photo frame:

You may remember this big guy from my thrifting adventures a few weekends ago:

I have decided that I’m going to cut it horizontally, right at that thicker middle slat. From there I’m going to refinish the wood to something darker or maybe grayer. Then I need to put a picture hanger on the back and BAM instant slatted photo/note holder. I hope it turns out!

Cardboard pendant lamp:

Another find from the thrifting party was this cardboard pendent lamp at Revival Antiques.

That’s right, it’s cardboard! Neat right? Well after an in-store pep talk from Pretty Handy Girl, who explained that it couldn’t be that hard to make I’ve decided that I can totally make that. I’ve asked my mom to gather as many boxes as she can from work so I can make a large pendant lamp for my entry hall. I still haven’t decided though; square or round?

Starburst mirror:

I have been officially inspired by Centsational Girl’s starburst mirror. All I have to do now is gather like 60 paint sticks from Lowes. Good thing it’s across the street so I can stop by after work and grab like 10 a day for the next week. Visit the link above to see her awesome tutorial and pictures of the finished product.

The master bedroom:

A constant work in progress. So far all I’ve got is this sweet bedding and the shelf above the bed.

I’m planning on doing shades of green (like this) in the bedroom. I have already bought this fabric (in green and white) for drapes, or something else (I’m so fickle). I also need to change the paint color to light gray and perhaps stencil a white on gray pattern somewhere in the room. Oh, and I need to get taller lamps too.

Soon master bedroom, soon.

So what about you? Any projects you’re in the middle of but still need to finish?
